〈Creation〉在籍時の音源を収録したコンピレーション『Bubblegum Perfume』と同時リイシューとなる『Gold Mine Trash』。こちらは1981年から1985年にかけて、彼らの元祖である〈Cherry Red〉で録音された楽曲で構成。Vo.のLawrence HaywardがThe Velvet Underground狂である事はよく知られた話だが、ギターのMaurice Deebankとのケミストリーが奇跡の連鎖を起こす名曲だらけの初期はほんとにLou ReedとJohn Caleのパートナシップを思わせる。ラスト"Primitive Painters"は私的生涯ベストのトップ10に入る伝説の名曲。
