2015年のデビューアルバム『Real Stories of True People Who Kind of Looked Like Monsters』を含めリリース作はほぼ全て高評価を得ているUS最強のエモ＆パワー・ポップメイカーoso osoの5thアルバム。アルバムのキャッチーさとは裏腹にタイトルが『Life Is Bone』でメンバーが全員全身ガイコツ姿でなおかつその口角は上がりまくり。このニヒリズムとの対比がいかにもoso osoらしいし、サウンド面のマイナーチェンジよりも「いかに良い曲を作りブラッシュアップするか」に磨きがかけられており、冗談抜きで全曲リード可能なほど安定感抜群。中でもハイライトは"the country club"と、モータウンビート炸裂"skippy"。多分に漏れず私即Buy限定盤。
